Data Protection

In short

AirFolio is a personal viewer for paragliding flights recorded on Burnair. We do not collect, sell, or share your data. The only personal data the app handles is your Burnair account credentials, used solely to fetch your flights from Burnair on your behalf.

What data we process

• Burnair credentials — your e-mail and password, entered in the login dialog, are sent over HTTPS to our server, which forwards them once to Burnair to obtain a session token. We do not store your password.
• Burnair session token — the token returned by Burnair is stored in your browser’s localStorage so you stay logged in across visits. It never leaves your device except when attached to requests to our server, which proxies them to Burnair.
• Flight data — flight metadata (date, duration, distance, takeoff/landing coordinates) and IGC track files belonging to your Burnair account. This data is fetched on demand and rendered in your browser. It is not retained on our server beyond a short-lived in-memory cache.

Where data goes

• Burnair (api.burnair.cloud) — the source of truth for your flights. AirFolio acts only as a viewer; their privacy policy applies to data stored there.
• Map tiles — base maps are loaded from CARTO and OpenStreetMap; thermal overlays are loaded from thermal.kk7.ch. These third parties may receive your IP address as part of standard HTTP requests when tiles are rendered.

What we do not do

• No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies.
• No sharing or selling of any data to third parties.
• No server-side storage of your Burnair credentials or session token.

Removing your data

Click Log out in the header to delete the session token from your browser’s localStorage. To remove flight data at its source, manage your account at burnair.cloud.
